On Thursday, 21st August 2008, a week before the Bollywood film Rock On was scheduled to release in theatres nationwide, Reliance World organised and played host to a 'Celebrity Meet & Greet' event with the cast and crew of Rock On.

Reliance World customers from 8 Indian cities were invited to participate in the event which was held at one of the Reliance World stores in Delhi. While customers from Delhi had the opportunity to shake hands with the celebrities, those from other cities interacted with the stars over video conferencing.

The event began with the screening of the film's promos and welcoming of the stars. After the actors had settled down, a Q&A session was held for members of the press.

Reliance World customers participating in the event also had a chance to ask the celebrities questions, watch promos of the film and be part of the Q&A session with the members of the press. Director Abhishek Kapoor shared the spirit of the movie and the stars discussed some of the scenes as well as recalled the fun moments and the trying times during the making of Rock On. They also spoke about the special training that each of them received on the musical instruments that they play in the onscreen band.

Farhan Akhtar sang a few lines from one of the songs from the movie and the audience joined in chorus. The event ended with an autograph signing spree and the stars gladly obliged everyone present with an autograph.

Rock On was released in theatres the following week.
